Wasp Bag

I bought this cute fabric from Vintage Prints

a couple of years ago, and I've been saving it for

the perfect project.

After making the kids' costumes at Christmas,

I decided to make myself a new purse.

I used this pattern from Machen /Machen.
The pattern was pretty confusing,

and the interfacing was really tricky to work with,

but I think I like the way it turned out.

The Glider - Recovered

We're looking at furniture for our living room,

and decided to just keep our glider and try to recover it.
I got a great deal on this fabric at JoAnns.

Here are the before and after shots.

Max seems to be the most sentimental of our kids,
(he's like me), but he's okay with the change,
so hopefully everyone else will be, too.
