He wanted a train

The day he came home from school with a note about making Valentine boxes, he knew what he wanted - a train. We found this idea, and changed it a little. Last year, Bentley and I spent a couple of weeks making his box, just a little work in the evenings. Maxwell didn't really want to work on his, so it was the Saturday before it was due we put most of it together. He was happy with it, and I guess that's what matters. :)

Hurrah for Headbands

Hurrah for Headbands

I found this link to a cute and easy headband pattern on Leslie's friend Natalie's blog. Today I made my own. I cut out the fabric this afternoon, then finished (sewing and turning) the headband during the commercials of American Idol tonight. I can't wait to make more. :)

Christmas Treats

I usually bake something to take to local friends and neighbors at Christmastime. This year, a freind reminded me that I probably wouldn't have time (for some reason I thought I would). Mindy wrote a poem, and I used it to decorate these candy bars. John delivered them for me. :)
